Lakeside Sauna Club began with what was supposed to be a one-year family adventure.
After packing up our home in South Carolina, Ash and I headed west with our three teenage daughters for a family gap year in Steamboat Springs. On the way, we stopped in Asheville for a concert and visited a local bathhouse, where we experienced sauna and cold plunge together for the first time. We were hooked — not just by the heat and cold, but by how clear, energized, relaxed and connected we felt afterward.
After a difficult illness in our family, the gap year was meant to give us time together and a healthier, more active way of living before our girls left home. Steamboat quickly became more than a temporary adventure. We fell in love with the mountains, the community and the rhythm of life here, and decided to stay.
Lakeside grew from that same desire to create meaningful experiences outdoors. Today, we share authentic wood-fired wild sauna as a way for people to slow down, reconnect and make memories together in one of the places we're grateful to call home.

Season Update
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we've closed for the remainder of the summer season at Steamboat Lake.
While we're disappointed to end the season early, we're already looking ahead and can't wait to welcome you back this winter!
We'll reopen in early November at Stagecoach Reservoir with our authentic wood-fired Wild Sauna experience, surrounded by snow-covered mountains and crisp Colorado air. Winter is truly a magical time to experience the sauna, and we can't wait to share it with you.
